Eagles

The cycle of paintings inspired by the coat of arms of Poland, the White Eagle, and created using an original technique of whipping the canvas with leather straps covered in paint. The creative process is a connection of painting and performance; after being recorded and processed, the videos accompany the paintings as an integral part of the work. This act is important, because they explore symbolism of the Eagle with the way of their execution, as well as alternating colors of the Eagles and historical and current events in Poland; they can also be interpreted as an attempt of capturing the reflection on the state of contemporary Polish patriotism. The shots and dynamics of action in the videos change with each painting.
